How to make up your lips to make them bigger and more voluminous

To successfully create the illusion of fuller lips with makeup, proper skin preparation is essential. Start by applying a lip scrub to exfoliate and a rich lip balm to moisturise. To increase the volumising effect, you can use a lip plumper with stimulating ingredients such as chilli pepper or peppermint. However, these products are designed for skin prep and makeup application, not for sensitive lips.

The first step in achieving a lip filler look is to use a lip pencil. Rather than outlining your natural lip line, trace it just a few millimetres outside for a natural and balanced result. Precision is key, as even a slight mistake can make the final result look fake. To further define your lips, outline your cupid's bow, lower lip, draw a perpendicular line to the centre of your lower lip, and then complete the outline. For a more realistic effect, blend the pencil at the corners of your mouth; this will make it easier to blend when you apply lipstick. Choose nude colours to match your skin tone for a natural look. After applying lip liner, it's time for lipstick. If you've blended the pencil towards the inside of your lips, you can choose a shade of lipstick a few shades lighter. Then, dab a slightly lighter shade in the centre of your lips and blend.
